We got an adapter. We take the photos directly to the computer, however, and
you can't focus through the computer. You have to guess at the focus and
keep trying until you get it right.


I understand there's a microscope that connects to the computer (at least a
PC - maybe not, alas, a Mac). It can be found online. I found this:

I have a friend who found a relatively inexpensive affair that acts as
microscope and camera at once. She's able to get decent pictures of 3-5mm
shells, at least. I'll ask her for more details.
