Hi all-

Putting aside any opinions on whether this shell is D. boholensis or S.
(D.) kleckhamae boholensis I am interested to know if anyone is aware of
any records of it outside the Philippines, particularly in areas which
would make it sympatric with the true kleckhamae kleckhamae. I have a
specimen purported to be from the Solomon Islands. The data is very
precise and I obtained it from a well-known SCUBA diver. I questioned him
about the data but he insisted that he had self-collected the shell half-
buried in silt on a slope 55m deep, etc etc. The shell measures 74.4mm
but is otherwise indistinguishable from Philippines specimens (current
world size record is 72.0). Photos I have seen of kleckhamae kleckhamae,
and a specimen I have from PNG, are quite different.

The information I have seen states that D. boholensis is endemic to the
Philippines. Is anyone else aware of any similar reports? Assistance
would be appreciated.

Happy shelling
Lynton
