Very odd distribution.  It sounds like there may be two species, with no obvious difference in the shell.  Are there any deep water east-coast records?

Based upon the response I received G. cerina does occur in the Gulf of
Mexico, but it sounds like it's a deep water shell and not found in bays and
estuaries as on Florida's south east coast.  The below presentation has been
annotated and I thank those who provided collecting data.
