I have a problem. I sent cash to pay for auction items won from one
seller and his brother over the last 10 or so auctions (that's
ShellAuction, Italy,auctions  63-74).

The seller was very poor at responding and also I confused his
selling-name with the e-mail address of another seller, which caused
some irritation and confusion.

Well, finally the shells arrived... far from all the specimens I'd
sent payment for, but nevertheless of some value.  Payment was sent to
the seller's address, as he and his brother had agreed that I could
pay for my winnings from both this way. Some days later the seller
(Rongcai Zhang "saleseashell" <[log in to unmask]>... the brother is
"shelllover") sent a message to say that the money didn't arrive, but
that he had sent the shells anyway.

Dilemma! Has the payment really been lost (more likely stolen) in the
mail system? Do I return the shells? Has the seller received the money
and sent me less than I'd paid for?

Because of the messiness of keeping track of what I owe whom, whom
I've paid and who owes me shells after payment, as well as having had
far too many sellers tell me that the money didn't arrive, I am no
longer buying from this auction site.

Suggestions, anyone?
