Hi all,
We finished up another great convention, hosted by Suncoast Conchologists in
Clearwater this time, with wonderful programs, great field trips,
spectacular silent auctions, a fabulous verbal auction, a magnificent
bourse, and a delicious banquet. I hope all who attended had a marvelous
time. Speaking for myself, the fossil trip was a success, and Roger Portell
deserves congratulations for arranging this excursion.

There will be more in-depth information about the convention in an upcoming
issue of American Conchologist.

I encourage all of you to think about going to Boston in 2010 when the
Boston Malacological Club will be celebrating its 100th anniversary, and is
hosting the convention there. Boston is a fantastic city (and I should
know, having been born and raised there) filled with much history. See you
in Bean Town!
