As I understand it, Rolle only published three printed price lists:
Marine-Conchylien (Univalves): pp. 23, Land-Conchylien: pp. 16,
Europ.-palaearct. Land-Conchylien.: pp. 16. I am not sure however whether
any specimens indicated as from Jamaica were actually collected by him
personally. I can try to dig up my copies if you want.

You are probably aware of the following work:
Von Maltzan, H. Diagnosen neuer Landschnecken von Haiti gesammelt von
Hermann Rolle 1887-88. (18xx). 8vo, 6 pp. Describes new species.

You might find it interesting that a letter in my possession sent by Rolle
to John Read le Brockton Tomlin in 1909 offers Unionidae that Rolle
collected in Syria.

Regards,
Scott

Subject: [CONCH-L] Hermann Rolle (f. 1887-1911)

Does anyone know if the German shell dealer Hermann Rolle (f.
1887-1911) collected in the Dominican Republic? I have specific
records for Haiti but none for the DR.
