> Anyone every found Chinese mysterysnails, Cipangopaludina (= Bellamya)
> chinensis, in any of the following areas?
A note on the names may be useful:
The actual type species of Bellamya is from west Africa. South and
east Asian species do not seem to be congeneric with the African
species; even if one were to lump the entire Bellamyinae into one
genus, there are older names than Bellamya. The various east Asian
genera require further investigation, but for the time being,
Cipangopaludina is probably a good choice. It's even possible that
the two invasives are not that closely related to each other.
