Hello Vicky,

Yes, John du Pont was the shell collector featured in National Geographic.
He also provided significant financial support to the Delaware Museum of
Natural History.
One of my friends from the Sarasota Shell Club, Craig Kauffman, was a good
friend of his.
Craig passed away several years ago.
