i dont know that this has anything to do with your issue, Moshe, but
some of the new wave of internet dealers i have obtained shells from
in that same auction, perhaps including the one cited here, seem to
have a very poor sense of how to properly grade a shell. or in concert
with that, how to recognize certain flaws or evidence of doctoring  in
a shell....  in my opinion, a shell with a filed or smoothed lip or
worn back lip should never be graded anything above F.  unfortunately
the pictures dont always show the flaw, or enable you to see it from
the angle of the photographs.
