Padre Island can be downright barren, but other times can yield some nice
finds.  Watch for gorgonians on the beach; you may find small ovulids on
them matching the color of the coral.  Check the tide lines for micros.
Every day is different, so you never know what you'll find.  Check early
morning before too many people are out.  Oh, watch out for tar balls.
