Dear Friends,

The directory of malacologists and conchologists has been updated this
weekend. Over 40 new and modified entries have been added:
http://home.wxs.nl/~spirula

The lists of new species described in 1993..1998 have also been updated.
Thanks for all the additions we received.
Furthermore the additions to the meetings/conferences list have been
processed as well.

Last weekend we had a marvellous time during the 3rd International Shell
Show and conference in Rotterdam that was organised by the Dutch
Malacological Society together with Vita Marina. It is always great to meet
so many of the people that are active in the malacological field world wide.
Somehow, the frequent use of Email makes it even more necessary to meet
people in person now and then.

The free Snail Pack mailing to 6700 addresses world wide will be distributed
in the first week of December. Vita Marina 45(3-4) and Spirula 46(1) will
both be published in December as well (busy month..).

That's all for now. Hope to see you all during one of the following Shell
Shows or Conferences.

Happy shelling,
Jan Paul Buijs
Vita Marina
