Dear Listers,

I've run into some taxonomic uncertainty. WoRMS says Lirophora clenchi
(Pulley, 1952) is a synonym of L. obliterata (Dall, 1902). Keen, in
Sea Shells of Tropical West America (page 190), treats L. obliterata
as a Pacific species (she gives as evidence a letter from Dr. S. S.
Berry, in which he claims to possess specimens from west Mexican
shrimp boats).

Does anyone know for certain whether there are two species here or only one?

Thanks,
James
