We have two carved Turbo's in our Edwin Roworth Collection at the school. One is carp, the other pattern is a peacock. They are so detailed and lovely, and I had no idea of their monetary value. Thanks for the insight, Carole.

Leslie,
Don't forget to include the average income in your findings. I purchased a
carved turbo back in 1968 or 69 for $25 from DeMarco's Shell Shop. Today I
think they are upwards of $400 BUT my husband's salary was only about $140
a week. So, $25 was a lot of money back then.
