 Attention re: mollusk conservation

On January 5, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reopened the comment period on the October 13 proposed rule to list five species from American Samoa on the U.S. Endangered Species List.  Two of these species are American land snails, Eua zebrine and Ostodes strigatus. The original ruling (FWS-R1-ES-2015-0128) documentation can be found at http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=FWS-R1-ES-2015-0128-0001 .

The proposition would list both species as Endangered.

Currently there are 12 existing comments (ttp://www.regulations.gov/#!docketBrowser;dct=PS;rpp=100;so=DESC;sb=docId;po=0;D=FWS-R1-ES-2015-0128);

all dating to prior to the newly reopened comment period.  Please make your comments regarding this proposed listing.  This is your chance to actually contribute to molluscan conservation in an active way. It really does make a difference as these comments are seriously considered in the listing process.

POST YOUR COMMENTS BY FEBRUARY 4!!!
