Is there no middle ground where information can be updated continuously so
as to take advantage of the Web?  Does it require an addendum listing the
revision separately every time a change is made?
 
For instance, what does Gary Rosenberg do with his Western Atlantic database
        when he finds a typo
        when he finds an error to be corrected
        when there is a new taxon
        when there is a family revision
        suppose he wants to add the other side of the ocean?
 
There should be room for something that may not be hewed in stone, but is
not as ephemeral as the stock market or a dealer's list.
