* well, here's a project for the list. Maybe everyone could think of
local names for collecting localities that may appear on specimen
labels, and post them to the list with lat/long co-ordinates,
jurisdictional location, and a brief discussion of the habitat and the
history of the name, so these can be compiled into a list and become
part of the lore of conchology.

mis-transcription of "Anvil Island" in the Strait of Georgia.
