David,
Nerita peloronta is one of the largest nerites with reported specimens close to 60mm. The officially recorded world record size is a 56mm shell owned by Jack Lightbourn of the Bahamas (Hutsell, et al., 2001). The largest nerite (to date) is Nerita textilis, with a specimen once owned by Phyllis Diegel recorded at 60.4mm.

Dear Harry,
There were plenty of Nerita peloronta on the outer reef at Tobacco Caye, Belize. They were the largest I had ever seen. Too bad I didn't try to snag the largest of them. Wonder what the record size is.
