Read all of this before you start looking. Did you know that if you wanted
to find where a holotype is stored you just have to ask your computer. It
will tell you where the holotype is stored and send you digital pictures
front and back of the holotype in color of course with all of the data and
sometimes a picture of the living animal. These digital pictures are stored
on a disk in a safe place with several backups in other locations. The old
holotypes are not very good pictures, but the newer ones don't fade like the
shells do, so you can see what the fresh specimen looked like when it was
named. Isn't that great. Oh! I just woke up, but it was a good dream
anyway. This is possible, and may be in the works as we speak.
