Dickson County has lower Carboniferous (Mississippian) rocks for the
surface. The lack of chambers strongly suggests a bellerophont
"monoplacophoran". Bellerophonts were planisirally coiled shells,
probably including some early gastropods, some relatives of other
living groups, and some extinct groups.
