Hi Carole--
I have a Kindle and I love it for reading. However, you can't download anything that is not provided by the purveyor, i.e. Amazon in the case of a Kindle, and it doesn't work for me for research--I need hard copy to consult back and forth. Mine is a year old, and there are models with more bells and whistles, so there may be more options that I don't know about.

I have been thinking of getting an e-reader like kindle or nookbook. Does
anyone know if you can download our research papers on one. If I have, for
example, one of the papers recommended by someone on conch-l and I download
it to my computer, can I then copy that to one of the readers?
Wouldn't that be nice to have Linnaeus to go!!!
