Hi,
This is an interesting list! Two remarks:
1) Euspira heros and Lunatia heros seem to me to be the same species.
2) Apart from the following species:
> Eupleura caudata
> Ilyanassa obsoleta
> Nassarius trivitattus
> Crepidula plana
> Crepidula convexa
> Euspira triseriata
> Neverita duplicata
> Lunatia heros
> Busycotypus canaliculatus
> Boonea bisuturalis
> Melampus bidentatus
>
> Anadara transversa
> Anomia simplex
> Pandora gouldiana
> Argopecten irradians irradians (? subfossil)
>
>
> Land Shells
> Neohelix solemi (some very fresh)
> Zonitoides sp. (?)
the list could also be West-European (mostly introductions by man),
which means that about 45% of Long Island species from the list are also
present in Western Europe.
Sincerely, Erick
