Incidentally, De Lesseps was the architect of the Suez Canal.
Species entering into and settling in the Mediterranean from the Red Sea are
known as lessepsian species (forgot who coined the term). Species migrating to
and settling in the Red Sea from the Med. are called Anti-lessepsian.
