Emilio is the winner. His answer left Bolivar on Jan. 11, 06:30:56 GMT. I
will be mailing him the promised shell. See below for the answer. Thanks to
the great minds on the listserve. Especially, Lynn Scheu who solved the
riddle in 27 minutes while fielding two phone calls. She also rewrote the
original riddle.

The Frenchman collects the Freak Micros.

The Austrian, screen name "ShellzRUs," wrote first about "Collecting
Historic Shell Labels." He collects landshells and his favorite
collecting locality is the Philippines.

The Spaniard, "ShellHog," wrote second, about the "Houston Convention
2000". He collects Unionidae and his favorite collecting locality is the
Sahara Desert.

The Aussie, "Clammy," wrote third, about "Flying Pigs I have Known and
Loved." He collects Pleurotomaria and would rather shell at home in
Australia than anywhere.

The Frenchman, "Dredgn_Fool," wrote fourth, and his subject was "test."
He collects the Freak Micros and the Mediterranean is his favorite
shelling spot.

The Canadian, "Murexhead," wrote last, on "The Best Collecting Spots in
Baffinland." His specialty is "Sinistral Nerites" and his favorite
collecting spot in the world is Easter Island.
