Hi Conch-Lers!

After posting several times on this list, I think I should introduce myself
as asked for in the rules.
I starting shelling when I picked up shells on the North Sea coast as a
child, and later my love for nature brought me to study biology.
Nevertheless I am working as a pharmaceuticals sales representative now. I
am living in the town of Dortmund (very good beer here) and am 40 years
old.
In the last couple of years I didnīt have much time for conchology, but
recently things became better, so now I can bother you all with dumb
questions and silly remarks. I also manage to find time now to put my
humble collection in a sensible order and am busy setting up a catalog on
my PC. Iīm also just renewing my membership in the Gernan shell collectorīs
club and the German Malacological Society.
I specialize in cowries as well as in all the shells I can pick up myself,
which usually means european marine, land and freshwater shells. I also
enjoy scuba diving a lot, which can be quite useful for a shell collector.

Greetings from Germany
Michael
