Dear Charlie,

I've been collecting shells for three years, and this is my list of the 10
books I have used and found to be most enjoyable and helpful to me.

1) "Seashells of the World" (A Golden Guide) - R. Tucker Abbott

2) "Shells" (Eyewitness Handbooks) - S. Peter Dance

3) "Compendium of Seashells" - Abbott and Dance

4) "Shells - Jewels from the Sea" - M. G. Harasewych

5) "The World's Most Beautiful Seashells" - Leonard Hill

6) "Shells - Treasures of the Sea" - Leonard Hill

7) "The Encyclopedia of Shells" - Kenneth R. Wye

8) "Shells of the Philippines" - Springsteen and Leobrerra

9) 2-volume set of "Australian Marine Shells" - Barry Wilson

10)"The Ambonese Curiosity Cabinet" - G. E. Rumphius (Translated and edited
by E. M. Beekman)

I'll be looking forward to the results of your survey. It's a wonderful
idea.
