Dear all,

A new book on abalone identification has been published one month ago.

Geiger, D.L & G.T. Poppe. 2000. Haliotidae. in Conchological
Iconography. G.T. Poppe & K. Groh (eds.). Conchbooks, Wiesbaden.135
pp., 83 pls.

The text is on a higher level than in previous issues of the Iconography,
and contains numerous black and white figures, distribution maps etc..

The color plates number 83 and hundreds of specimen have been figured.

You can watch sample pages and order the issue on:

http://www.conchology.uunethost.be/go/iconography/index.html

In the coming year we will most probably publish:

- The family Acavidae part I (40 plates)
- The genus Calliostoma
- The family Pectinidae part I
- The family Tonnidae
- The shelled Cephalopods: Nautilidae, Argonautidae, Spirula

Photos and/or slides of living animals from the above groups are highly
appreciated.

With best regards, Guido
