> The Scallop: Studies of a Shell and It's Influences on Humankind by eight
> authors Edited by Ian Cox, C.B.E., M.A. 1957
***This book, I believe, was commissioned by the Shell Oil Company to
celebrate their 75th. anniversary***

> Set of three booklets by Sally Diana Kaicher: Indo-Pacific Sea Shells 1956
> 1. A Guide to the Common Marine Snails from East Africa to Polynesia
> Toxoglossa
> 2. A Guide to the Common Marine Snails from East Africa to Polynesia
> Tonnacea
> 3. A Guide to the Common Marine Snails from East Africa to Polynesia
> Pleurotomariacea, Patellacea, Trochacea
***These are 3 of a set of 7 booklets written by Sally Kaicher, and they
deal with the Indo-Pacific taxa. Sally is probably more well known for
her series of card packs illustrating many of the marine gastropods.

> How to Study & Collect Shells A Symposium: A Publication of the American
> Malacological Union, Inc> 4th Edition
***This was the most recent update of a book published by the American
Malacological Union (now the American Malacological Society). It first
appeared in the Annual Minutes of the Society in 1941. They held a
symposium on collecting and cleaning shells and published the talks in the
Annual report. It was updated in the 1950's (?1954) and 1960's (?1966),
with the most
recent update in 1974. I have the whole series at home, just can't
remember all of the copyright dates exactly. AMS is currently working on
another update of this book.
