Dear Art and listers,

I join the several players who have reported favorably on Bill's excellent
images.

To assure Art and others who may think our local wentletrap fauna is limited to
these (three) taxa, I append a list of all 24 the N. E. Florida Epitoniidae
found by us (Jax Shell Club) in the past 25 years:

1. Amaea retifera (Dall, 1889a) Reticulate Wentletrap
2. Cirsotrema dalli Rehder, 1945 Plastered Wentletrap
3. Boreoscala blainei (Clench and Turner, 1953) White-wash Wentletrap
4. Depressiscala nautlae (Mørch, 1874) Slender Wentletrap
5. Depressiscala nitidella (Dall, 1889a) Mottled Wentletrap
6. Epitonium sp. aff. albidum (d'Orgigny, 1842) cf. Bladed Wentletrap
7. Epitonium angulatum (Say, 1830) Angulate Wentletrap
8. Epitonium apiculatum (Dall, 1889a) Semismooth Wentletrap
9. Epitonium candeanum (d'Orbigny, 1842) Candé's Wentletrap
10. Epitonium championi Clench and Turner, 1962 Champion's Wentletrap
11. Epitonium denticulatum (G. B. Sowerby II, 1844) Tooth-rib Wentletrap
12. Epitonium foliaceicosta (d'Orbigny, 1842) Wrinkled-rib Wentletrap
13. Epitonium humphreysii (Kiener, 1838) Humphrey's Wentletrap
14. Epitonium krebsii (Mørch, 1874) Stout Wentletrap
15. Epitonium lamellosum (Lamarck, 1822) Lamellose Wentletrap
16. Epitonium multistriatum (Say, 1826) Many-ribbed Wentletrap
17. Epitonium novangliae (Couthouy, 1838) New England Wentletrap
18. Epitonium occidentale (Nyst, 1871) Fine-ribbed Wentletrap
19. Epitonium rupicola (Kurtz, 1860) Brown-band Wentletrap
20. Epitonium striatissimum (di Monterosata, 1878) Frosted Wentletrap
21. Epitonium turritellulum (Mørch, 1874) Little Turret Wentletrap
22. Epitonium sp. aff. worsfoldi Robertson, 1994 cf. Worsfold's Wentletrap
23. Opalia burryi Clench and Turner, 1950 Burry's Wentletrap
24. Opalia pumilio (Mørch,1874) Dwarf Wentletrap

There is also a pictorial webpage at <http://jaxshells.org/neflwe.htm> on which
every one of these species is depicted.
