Just to add a note to the Horse Conch lore: About ten years ago, give or
take a decade, I was in Cancun and boarding a boat for Isla Mujeres.
Right there in about one foot of water was a (lets say) 16 inch Horse
Conch. I couldn't pick it up and take it along. But it knew what I was
thinking and was gone when I returned.
