According to Endean & Rudkin (from a 1965 article on Conus venoms -- though most of this information comes from Alan Kohn's contribution to the 1963 book "Venomous and poisonous animals and noxious plants of the Pacific region"), only the following two species have inflicted death -- C. geographus and C. textile. Severe outcomes (not sure what "severe" is but "severity of stings" is broken up to include fatality, severe, less severe and slight) have been inflicted by C. geographus, C. tulipa and C. omaria. Less severe -- C. tulipa. Slight -- C. catus, C. textile, C. aulicus, C. litteratus, C. quercinus, C. lividus, C. pulicarius, C. imperialis and C. sponsalis (ouch!).
