I have found a site which is probably "under construction",
http://www.chez.com/malacos/act.htm which has a well researched
systematic index of about 16,250 species in some large collection
seemingly in France - over 300 familes represented, and almost 2000
genera.  Photos of a representative of almost all the genera are given,
and everything is documented in detail.  The bibliography alone is worth
the visit!!!   That said, there is no clue that i can find, as to who is
actually constructing this wonderful site: any candidates???  Anyone
seeking fairly up-to-date nomenclature would do well to consult this
site, but it sure would be nice to know who to thank for it.
