Yes I'm serious;  these are the recommendations of Smithsonian and other
curators. I recently acquired an Epson printer just for label production.
The advantage of an impact printer is that the impact leaves a
mini-indentation for the ink to be embedded in so that abrasion to the
paper surface does not reach it.
