Dear All,

the former wasn't really shell-related, so I now have a shell-related
question for the taxo-nuts:

The rule is that when a species is now placed under a different generic
name from that under which it was originally described, the name of the
author and year go in brackets. But what happens when the original genus
was a Genus (Subgenus) and Subgenus has been elevated to generic level in
recent times. Does the author and name go in brackets or do they not?

Patty
