Dear All,

Thanks to Bruce Marshall from the National Museum of New Zealand (aka Te
Papa) I have now identified the mystery shell, which is, as Henk Mienis
(really, Henk, is there anything you do not know?) correctly assumed
Pachyrissoina walkeri. The thing that really threw me off is the sheer size
of the thing. It's awfully big and broad for a Rissoid. But yet, there is
it, on page 85 of Ponder's genetic review of the family. And fancy this
work was sitting on the shelf behind me all the time I was trying to
identify this beast!

regards

Patty
