The cones are probably recent shells. Next COA ask Kevan or Linda Sunderland.
There were miles and miles dredged and it was a shelling bonanza for the
shellers in South Florida. I want to say maybe in about 1989?? It's been a
while. What a good time we had. A lot of rare deep water shells came up at
that time. I think the rare Florida wentletrap was found, some pairs of
Lion's paws etc. I am not bothering with the scientific names at this moment.
But a lot of really good deep water shells. Many not seen in such abundance.
Anyway, that is my suggestion. Ask Kevan or Linda.
