Dear Jenny, and all,
On my recent trip tp Florida, I spent a few days in St. Petersburg and
collected Melampus from the trunks and branches of mangrove trees above
the high tide line along the Gandy bridge causeway that goes to Tampa.
They were clustered in groups. It was daytime.
To all: I know that immature cowries do not have the same shape as the
adults, is this true of Trivias? I have found in some beachdrift a VERY
small, (1.5 mm), shell that appears to be either a Cypraea or a Trivia.
Am I seeing things, is there a rational explanation, or have I found
something new?

Thanks,
        Mariah
