My Dear Kay;-
Rectangular holes are drilled by the common Polygonus archimedes (Euclid, 402BC). This mollusk also drills triangular, octagonal, and the occasional rhomboid hole. It is known to feed on seeds dropped into shallow seas by the Yum-Yum tree. Its eggs, always laid in square root numbers, are usually found on the backs of the F++ Spinal discus, Walter Reid 1905. I do hope this has been of some small service.
