I collected a Pliocene pholadid in Fiji which bugs me. The genus of
closest resemblance I can find illustrations of is Jouannetia;
however my specimen is far more contracted longitudinally ie far more
radical. It might be another jouannetiine, but I have seen no
illustrations of Pholadopsis, netastoma or Scyphoma.

The specimen comprises one complete and one incomplete valve and a
piece of coral with the boring's termination.

I can't scan it because my scanner is only 600dpi and my copy of
PhotoShop has packed a sad anyway, so I can't import the scanner
plugin (ScanWizard).

Does my beast ring anyone's bells? Does anyone know a pholadid expert?
