That's not to say that any one camera is likely to fail. I went over
one site <www.keh.com> which sells used digitals. There were 2 or 3
Nikons advertised (all one model, note) with failed pixels, and one
Olympus (I think, or it might have been a Pentax or Minolta...). No
others were listed as faulty.

I admit to being a Sony freak, though some of the company's stuff
isn't up to snuff either.

Years ago I bought a Minolta Maxxum (Dynax) 5000i. Its autofocus
NEVER worked properly at infinity... it would focus back slightly,
giving a fuzzy image. Minolta NZ told me all autofocus cameras do
this and refused to fix it!
