rooted in the Hellenistic Navies of the Greece.
They refer only to the oceans of the world known to them:
*  Mediterranean Sea
*  Black Sea
*  Caspian Sea
*  Adriatic Sea
*  Red Sea
*  Indian Ocean
*  Atlantic Ocean
