Colleagues,

We can't advertise here, so I'll just mention that Osamu Masuda and Ryu Uchiyama have published a profusely illustrated book called 'Freshwater mollusks of Japan'. Although the text is in Japanese, the species are identified with scientific names, and the very clear pictures make it a useful identification guide to the fauna. The book features some great in-situ pictures of the living mollusks too. Anyone who's interested in getting it can contact me off-list and I'll give them the details.

Cheers,

PC.
