We need a system like they have on the E-Bay auctions, a clearing house for
feedback so you can get both the pros and cons.

Very good question--and if I was interested in buying shells from dealers,
I'd want to know. However, I think we'd get a variety of comments that
include valid complaints, somewhat exaggerated complaints, grossly
exaggerated complaints, and unjustified complaints, probably without
emphasizing the satisfactory aspects.

It would take just one complaining customer out of 600 others to make a
complaint seem like a major indictment of a particular dealer. Even after
some kind of response is made, the doubt would stick. Sometimes a dealer's
valid explanation might come days or weeks after his/her reputation has
been sullied.

Maybe we need a more objective system, sort of like a Shell Consumer's
Report to do ratings of dealers.
