After much deliberation, the Houston Conchology Society has updated
specifications for its two educational grants: the Harry/McHenry Memorial
Award and the Constance E. Boone Award. Both of these are directed towards
graduate or undergraduate students pursuing marine, malacological research.
The Harry/McHenry Memorial Award, honoring Dr. Harold W. Harry and Dr. John
I. McHenry, provides up to $1000.00 to graduate students enrolled in Texas
institutions. The application deadline is November 1.
The Constance E. Boone Award provides up to $1000.00 to undergraduate or
graduate students who are citizens of the Americas (i.e. North, Central, or
South America) and are enrolled in American ( i.e. North, Central, or South
American) institutions. The application deadline is May 1.
