 I agree with Harry that omnivore is a much better term for the diet of
Cypraea.  Most are sponge eaters
and sift through  sand and muddy substrate for micro-organism. There are
some great books out there
that show in situ the eating habits. Check out Barry Wilson & Peter Clarkson
" Australia's Spectacular
Cowries"  a review and field study of two endemic genera: Zoila and Umbilia.

breath taking.
