The reported demise of scallop dumps, reported by some, is
apparently without merit. Rumors have been building that west
coast scallop dragging was finished and therefore there were no
"dumps".

Recent information indicates that dragging is going on as usual and
there are in fact new "dumps." - or at least new locations.

A recent visitor to the badly hurricane mangled area, has a report after
her two day visit. Keep tuned to the Jacksonville Shell Club Home page
for further details and photo's..
