Yes quite close to the Cuban deities, which also were brought over from
Africa;

oxossi = ochosi
oxum = oshun
ogum = ogun
iemanjae = yemaya
iansa = ??

missing is chango, whose equivalent, I do not know in Portugese. The
pronounciations are about the same though.

Petuch is amazing, sometimes, knows quite a bit.
