While we were in Sanibel in July, Black Tips were being caught daily (2 - 3
times) right on the beach in front of our resort. There were huge schools of
feeder fish that were in the surf (so huge, the water turned black from them)
and there were schools of around 20 - 30 elephant mouthed rays swimming the
surf as well. It was very nerve racking - but "we" are on their turf (or
rather in their surf)!!
