Hi, Nancy. Sure you'll have a great time at John Lloyd. For several
years ~1993-5 I would go to John Lloyd.  They must have done some kind
of dredging they dumped on the beach because I was able to make a complete
collection of tiny shells -dozens of species - that I got from combing
through the sand. All dead but still in good condition. Olivellas -
tiny bivalves - cones.
