Dear Sir/Madam:

I have a question for the nitrification model of CERES.

The ammonium (SNH4(L)) which is nitrified on a day is (A*40.0*NH4(L)/NH4(L)+90.0))*SNH4(L)

Where I assume the NH4 is 6 ppm, i.e. 6 *10^-6 g of N/cm^3 of soil

"A" is factor of concentration, temperature, etc. I assume A=0.5

Thus the ammonium (SNH4(L)) which is nitrified on a day is (120/96) * SNH4(L)=1.25 SNH4(N)

Is it too large? Is it large than the amount of NH4 in the layer?
