Using DSSAT you can search the available 700 or so soil profiles for a soil
that is similar to your soil and use that if you wish. The database can be
searched by country, pedon number, or even by SCS Soil Classification. Once
the soil you want is identified, retrieve it and store it to the CERES Rice
model data location. Once retrieved, you will be able to run your model
using the soil.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you need more info. on this.

-Daniel
